Yesterday

Yesterday was the roller coaster day.

I made lunch for the high-school seniors (one of my favorite activities).

Then, I thought I was going to die--you know the feeling. Bathed in a cold sweat, praying you could just throw up, so you do, then you feel better? (This is definitely NOT one of my favorite activities.)

Then, a phone call from my hubby darling. "People" were coming to deliver my birthday present.
Nothing can get you out of a flu-like stupor faster than "Special Delivery."
I've looked and looked for a cabinet with glass that would fit this strange dimension in my kitchen.
And I finally found it! And Brad ordered it for my birthday. This birthday just keeps going and getting better!
Not only does its 48 1/2" fit perfectly inside this 50 1/4" space, but those gorgeous beveled glass doors? They LOCK, my friend, they LOCK. So it's perfectly safe to leave all my white servingware down within Hyrum's grasp.
I spent the rest of the afternoon rearranging and wiping out cupboards, organizing and decorating to my little heart's content. Ahhhhh. It's like a long bath. Soothing and relaxing. Organizing is definitely one of my favorite activities.

Special organizing hint: The vertical inserts used to hold lids? Also can be used to organize servingware and pie plates. Like this:Easier to get to. Easier to use.
And I'm NOT diabetic for the next ten weeks. What could be better?
Maybe a good night's sleep. But I'm not complaining!

Off to rearrange the last cupboard affected by the giant shuffle of 2009!

  4. I love that cabinet, and the white dishes look fabulous in there. And it locks? How did you get so lucky? See, I told you a good 3rd thing would happen yesterday...this might have been different than what I predicted, but there's still time for that too!
