AM Eve, Part One

Can I just say thank you to all of you who participated in my linky post on Friday?  I learned great things from great women.  The most important thing I learned?  Power comes from learning from each other.  Thanks again, and if you haven't taken the time to read all the posts and comments, it's worth your time.

I had the traditional Denton Mother's Day--no work for Mom, huge fruit salad in bed, shared with all the family, flowers and notes from the kids and Brad, "Brad's Specialty Breakfast-for-Dinner." And now I'm heading to bed with a clean house and a smile on my face. Thanks for such a great day, family. I love you all, and I wouldn't trade places with anyone for anything.

My Evie has been waking up EARLY every morning lately.  Like 4:30-5 am.  I haven't really minded too much, because I am a morning person, and it's helped me get good starts to my days.  But I did balk a little when it was 5:12 and it was Saturday.  Instead of bemoaning my fate, I grabbed the stroller and the camera.  The light is delicious at 5:30, and I got some fun shots.  So this week will be a (mostly) wordless week and pictures of AZ.
Here's a tribute to my morning buddy.

(I can't figure out how to import my edited pictures from Picasa to my blog using the new editor.  Hopefully this week I'll be able to figure it out.)

  2. natural light is always best. (don't get me wrong, packing your own light can be fun too, depending on how creative a photographer wants to be. but my fave is to shoot ala natural!) its authentic.

Your optimism comes from the voice of experience...you know these early mornings are temporary, hunh?
I loved getting up with my little ones while the rest of the house was sleeping. That time was special to me.
    Glad your day was perfect!

  16. The eyes on your kids - oh my goodness, they're beautiful! My favorite one is where she's peeking over the top of the pram/stroller/whatever it is. They're all beautiful, though. What a nice Mother's Day you had - good job by all!

  18. Great photos...Love the "catch lights" you captured in the pram shot!
Ah the creative gene...think it comes from my Dad's side...he had two amazing aunts that were artists. I also think it comes from being frugal...making do with what is around me.
And yes...I think a give away is just around the corner. Keep watching! :)
