Thank You, Anonymous

What's this?

It was left by a well-wisher on our front step, then they disappeared without so much as "You're Welcome."

Just to give you an idea of the size of this thing, here it is with a little size perspective--Hyrum weighs about 27 pounds.

Weren't they thoughtful?

Now what do I do with it?

  1. My son brought us one about that same size last summer from his garden. We just used ours as a decoration in our entry way. I heard they aren't good to eat when they are that large, but they are sure fun to look at.

  3. Good heavens........you've been Zucchini-ed!! All I can suggest is a whole lot of bread, relish, cake, muffins.........or head out tonight with the lights out on the car, and find a doorstep to leave the monster on!

  4. Wow, that's GINORMOUS! Guess you could make a year's supply of zucchini bread, or a year's supply for the entire neighborhood. I think Brad should put it on his desk at church. It would be quite the ice breaker.

  5. Hahahaha! I love that thing! I guess it is good for smiles and conversation starting... I love Pondside's idea of passing it on, but now everyone knows where it came from :)

  6. Oh, my! That's huge! Draw a face on it and use it as decor. I bet it wouldn't be very tasty that big.

  11. What do you do with it? Better question is...what is it? Is it for decoration or is it for 20 zucchini breads?

  16. Hmmmmmm... Whoever gave it to you didn't know what to do with it either. Probably found it lurking in the back corner of the garden. It's pretty though. I say enjoy it as porch decor while you can. Or a fabulous centerpiece combined with other smaller squash. But it's still summer... hmmmmm....
