Good Thing Santa Included a Tow Package

I wish these photos could fully translate the joy of this moment--
No.  It's not the debris from midnight fireworks in the street.  See the belt looped over the mirror?

Evie was dubbed "The Queen," placed in her "throne" of pillows, babies, silkies and pacys, and the boys were chauffering her around the cul-de-sac.  All at the top speed of 8 mph.

Miss Lily was her lady-in-waiting, directing the parade from her mint green beach cruiser.

It was awesome.  Love those kids.

Brady had a green tractor that was his ride for years...boy did we get our money's worth out of that thing!

  7. This brings back so many memories of the creative things we did growing up in our tight cul de sac of friends. I love this so much! Thank you for making my morning so happy and bright.

  8. This is awesome. The sidewalk would scare me, though, because apparently I have become a wimp since motherhood.

I remember my siblings towing me around the house in a large sack made for wooden blocks... including down the stairs.

  9. How cute!!! Is Eve asleep? I am always amazed at the things older siblings do to younger ones and the younger ones love it.
(By the way, sidenote on Christmas jammies- I made jammie pants for Jason and I that matched the kids'. I mentioned to him that I want to do this as a tradition for the kids every year, but I didn't think I was going to make some for us every year. Jason had a very strong opinion that we (he) needed to be included in the new jammies every year too! I guess it's a good thing I only have 2 kids!)

  13. I could not handle watching her be that close to the edge of the sidewalk, my heart would be in my throat. Looks like fun though! And I adore Lily's bike, I want one just like it!

PS-I miss your blogroll-I know it was a thorn in your side, but I still miss it!

  17. I think it is wonderful that your children are so adventurous and also so careful. Those boys must have felt very important to be moving out with such a precious cargo. Just loved that picture. You also have a bunch of terrific looking kids. Yours is a handsome family.
