Foto Friday: To Be Four Again . . .

There's been a lot of this around here lately:

Something about the "Frozen" soundtrack just gets a girl dancing.

She was the only one in our entire family who hadn't seen the movie . . . until today.  Today, Evie had a date with her daddy to finally go see the movie.

She wore her glittery headband that covered Daddy's face in reflected sparkly snow.
She made sure she had her purse with all of her important things inside it:  wallet, kitchen sponge, toy bread, phone, and a comb. (Isn't that the cutest purse ever?!!  Brad's sister Nancy made it for Evie for Christmas, and she hasn't let go of it since.)
As they were leaving, she pulled out her phone and said, "I'll call you when we're on our way home."
She finally got to see her movie. With her purse.
I know she doesn't look too happy here, but that's not the case--just camera- and stranger-shy.
Her report when she got home:  "Of course snowmen don't have skulls or bones.  He's a SNOWMAN! That movie was so so so so so so so so so good and fun and fine."
My kids are so lucky that they have a dad who takes them on dates and loves being with them.

  1. I think it's fantastic that Brad has such a great relationship with the kids. I know a few Japanese fathers who wanted sons but got daughters instead. They don't even try to create a relationship with them because they don't know how to interact with girls. I'm lucky that Jason wanted daughters and likes to spend time with them.

  3. My boys haven't seen the movie, but they claim they don't have too because Lydia sings the songs NON STOP...what is it about Disney songs and little girls!?!

Daddy/Daughter dates are so fun, glad she liked it!

  4. The father daughter picture is outstanding! Little girls and purses, ha, my sister and I still laugh about the fact that often our homemade crochet purses from a Great Grandma often held a deck of cards! Playing cards added good weight to an already very light purse! LOL
