Foto Friday--Choir

Lily had her third quarter choir concert. I was really surprised when they took the stage, because her school doesn't have a mixed choir.

Then they began to sing an amended version of The Sound of Music's "Thirteen Going on Fourteen," and the crowd started laughing. There is nothing funnier than watching boys turn into men--their bravado and their mannerisms were hilarious.

The girls sang a cute song from Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella."

Their director is one spunky lady. She taught them well.

While Brad and I were watching the concert, we both remarked how old and beautiful Lily is getting. Just like watching boys become men, the change from girl to young woman happens overnight, and all of a sudden, you barely recognize your child. I love this girl.

  1. She is for sure a pretty girl! I am going through this with my older three, sometimes I have to do a double take and make sure those big kids walking around are actually mine.

  2. She really does look like her mama.

I loved being in our all-girls choir and then in the a cappella choir. Some of my best memories from high school come from those times.

  5. These are things that you could not survive without. They include, of course, food, water and shelter. Even here, these should be at a minimum. Thanks.
