Rush hour traffic.
I'm attending a conference in Phoenix, and it's so weird to me that people drive this every day. That people take two hours of their day every day just to drive somewhere.
It's been weird to leave the house before my kids do. Before the sun comes up.
It's weird to be out of my cocoon. Eating catered lunches and talking with strangers about education and teaching gifted kids.
It's weird. In some ways, I don't like this unfamiliar life. In some ways, I really like it.

I have a 60 mile commute each way. It's awful. I am SO jealous of anyone that doesn't have to commute. I can't imagine what it would be like to have an extra 3 hours of my life back every single day.
