How Blogging Has Enriched My Life

How could I feel any richer, being blessed with my wonderful family, fantastic friends, health, Christ in my life?
By you, my bloggy friends!

Jen at Jen's Ink Pen had a giveaway, and I won this fantastic ball cap.  I've sported it around town a few times already.  Love it.

And Tracie at Ms. Bake-It had a giveaway, and I won a Babies R Us gift card, just in time to replace Evie's pack and play (which was Hyrum's and Micah's and Lily's and Ben's and for some reason had given out).

And Karen at Still Crazy after All These Years had a giveaway a while ago, and Eve now sports a darling flower headband her daughter Katie made.

Not to mention a few giveaways I've won over at Sue's Views--books, music, and notecards.  Sue is such an inspiration to me, and so genuinely kind.  I feel like I'm in her kitchen hanging out with her.

Susan at Permanent Posies gave me awards this week:

Thanks, Susan.
Lourie at CA Girl shared the Sugar Doll award with me:

Wow, Lourie. Thanks.

And Nichole at In These Small Moments gave me a very kind shout-out.  Who knew laundry talk would be so interesting?

I love getting these acknowledgments that my blog is read by others.  I love getting little packages in the mail from friends that I will probably never see in life but are definitely friends in my heart.  This cyber community is a strange beast, but nothing can replace these interactions that make you all real to me.

Thanks for being my friends.  Thanks for reading my drivel.  Thanks for spending time with me.

Love and hugs to you all!

  1. I know - it is a strange phenomenon, isn't it? But my bloggy buddies are as real to me, as friends I've met in the flesh. Sometimes even better as you don't always see all my warts, unless I'm feeling particularly feisty as I write!

  4. Well said! It's funny when I am talking about an idea I found or a story I read....I find myself saying "One of my friends......." even though I don't even know you all....I still think of you all as friends...and I feel like I know some of my bloggy friends better than some of my fleshy friends. Is there another word besides flesh friends or real friends?
    Have a great night!

  5. You're right about blog friends! It's so much fun to win something and get that package in the mail. It's all about having a friend somewhere far away and making a real connection through the mail, somehow. I love it. :)

  9. I'm a real boy now! I'm just glad you get my weird sense of humor, and I love reading about your family, and getting mothering advice from you, that I'm sure you didn't know you gave.

  10. It's been a little crazy at our house so I haven't had time to read my favourite blogs. I just wanted to say I enjoyed catching up. As it happens I just received my first giveaway in the mail. A book called Hand Wash Cold. I can't wait to start some summer reading.

  11. You are so right about bloggy friends. I feel like I've made so many ever since I started blogging consistently too and it's really an enriching experience :) I'm glad that I had the chance to "meet" you on your blog and watch you share all the little life experiences you have with all of us :)
