Where on Earth Were Jenny and Brad?

Can you guess where we spent the weekend?
A Hindu wedding
Record rainfall and flooding (do you recognize me running across the street?)

Movie sets (Transformers 3 shut all of downtown down on Saturday)

And biking everywhere we went.

Got any ideas?
Chicago is DEFINITELY my kind of town.

We hadn't been back since we piled Heidi and Tucker into our 1988 Toyota Camry and headed southwest to the land of geckos and green salsa.

It was great to be back.

  1. I knew on the Transformers picture because my daughter and SIL were there a couple weekends ago! They thought it was pretty cool that they could see the set and the movie being filmed!

  6. Chicago is a GREAT city! At first I thought you meant you were invited to a Hindu wedding. If you've never been to one, they're a trip. What a fun getaway you and Brad had! Was the rain a nice change?

  8. Looks and sounds like SO much fun! You two deserved a little kidless break. I also love that you biked everywhere-did you rent them somewhere? And where did you get that idea? Welcome back to the land of no rain, "dry" heat, and monsoon season! Hope you brought some of that rain back with you~

  14. Looks like you had a great time! My cousin and her family were just in Chicago and got a lot of great pics of the city & also of the new Transformers movie being shot.

After seeing her photos of Chicago & yours it makes me really want to have a vacation there...once my kids are a lot older though!
