Movie Review

Brad and I decided to see "Larry Crowne"  this weekend.

Three words:  GO SEE IT.

Remember "Sleepless in Seattle"?  Remember "You've Got Mail"?  The true, heartfelt, genuine, sweet romantic comedies of Hanks' early career?  He's back, and he is good.

I loved this movie, from beginning to end.  Why?  It's real.  It's current.  And it's really, really funny.

I didn't know until after I saw it that Hanks also directed and WROTE it.  It's so well-written.

Not enough accolades?  Then you need to see it for yourself.

Post-Script:  For those of you who have been waiting on bated breath for a mission update from Tucker, I just posted his last two letters and some pictures on his mission blog.  Click here.
If you've already read the letters, scroll to the end to see the photos. He leaves for NYC on the 18th. I can't believe it's already been eight weeks. Where has the time gone?

  1. Well that is good to know. Kurke and I almost went and saw this the other night but the reviews were only so-so, and the previews didn't grab us as someting special and so we decided to see something else.
Good to know that it is a good one.

  6. I knew when I read the snotty review in the Toronto paper, panning the movie, that it would be a must-see. Now that I've had your recomendation I'll be sure to see it - I thought it sounded like one I'd really like.

  7. We went to the noon showing on July 4th and it was so crowded we left. But since you liked it so much we will go back and try again. Thank you!
