Yikes. Yet Another . . .

X-ray. Yikes is right.

I couldn't invent these stories if I tried.

Micah took a dip off our swing Monday afternoon, and he landed in a way that hurt his elbow.

It was still swollen and painful the next morning, so we took a quick 90-minute trip to Urgent Care.
X-rays were inconclusive, but it did reveal a dark cloud around his elbow, called a "fat pocket," which often indicates a break.  We have another x-ray scheduled for 11 am Friday.  For now, he's in a splint and a sling.

Seriously.  This week has been a doozy. The worst part of Micah's fall, he will tell you, is the complete humiliation he suffered as he fell. Not from the fall itself, but from the dog poop that somewhat cushioned his fall. Nothing like super stinky shrieking through the house.

Linking up to Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday.  Hopefully no x-rays next week.

  1. GOOD GRIEF! You know how to keep it real around there....all the time. So sorry Micah had to suffer the indignity of dog poop, DEFINITELY worse than breaking an elbow. Hope they get it figured out and he gets all better soon!

  12. That's it! I knew it! We lead parallel lives. It was the dog poop that lead me to that conclusion. :)

  19. Oh no! Poor Micah! Poor you!

That would be quite an indignity falling into poo. I usually only step in it when my feet are bare...ewwwww...either way.

I'm going to scroll ahead to see if they ended up having to cast him.

Thanks for a traumatic little link to the letter Y.

    A+
