Vacancy

When Christmas came down around here, I also took down every single tchotchke and decoration.

For some reason, I was sick to death of the clutter and the mess.

It's been almost a month now, and I frankly don't miss any of it.
And I never seem to remember that this giant ornament/disco ball is still hanging from the ceiling fan.

It's weird when someone comes to visit and I have to explain why my walls and tables are empty.

I had grand visions of spackling and repainting every hole before anything made it back onto the walls.

Then Mr. Influenza decided to visit.

As of today, Ben is the only member of our family who is walking unscathed.  My hopes aren't high for him.

Brad's sister is using our house to host a formal dinner on Saturday night, so I better get a few things put back out so it doesn't look like we're moving.

Just wish I could muster a little energy.  This flu is nasty.

  2. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I know what you mean about all the stuff around. Sometimes I would like to do that too.

  4. I'm so sorry to read that you are still all so ill - no fun!
I won't be in the Seattle area on Valentine's weekend, but I will be on the mainland. If you are in Seattle, it's just a bit too far for me to dip down on my way to work in Abbotsford for the week - but if you are north of there I might be able to manage something.
