So, What Happened to Micah?

A few weeks ago, Micah came to me with a complaint.

He doesn't complain about much (other than his brother not doing a fair amount of the cleaning in their room), so I listened. His face went from this
to this
He has the same vision issues that Tucker, Ben, and I do--one dominant eye and one weak eye--and that may be the reason the problem went unrecognized for so long.

When he was picking out frames, he gravitated straight to these, tried them on, and knew they were the ones. Having worn glasses for most of my life (and having never made a frames decision that quickly), I encouraged him to try on a second pair, but he already knew. He and these frames were meant to be.

Unlike his older brothers, Micah has rarely been without his new glasses. And I think he looks quite dashing in them.

Now I'm wondering how long it will be till he either A) loses them when the novelty wears off, or B) begs for contacts.

My boy. Love this kid.

  1. He's a cutie. You always know they need their glasses when they wake up asking for them. I have a 10 year old that I am waiting to see if he will ask for contacts or not.

  2. Being as blind as a bat, I was in love with my glasses!
