2016 End-of-School Wrap Up: As For Me . . .

 As for me, I've been pretty busy. I love watching this little girl and her parents any time I get a chance.

 She is in the cutest stage, and it's almost like having my own toddler again--but better. Grandparenting is the best.

I've been working with my cub scouts. We did a neighborhood book drive for United Way's summer reading program, and the boys loved it. Can you tell?

 Our family is a Catan family. Are you?

 And a dear friend of mine got married. It's been a long, emotional road for these guys, and I'm so happy they all now have each other. It was a great way to start the summer--a wedding at the Phoenix temple.

But really, all of these activities are only a small part of my story, because what I'm almost always doing is some form of this:

Not the eating part, although I could eat CPK's pear gorgonzola pizza every day of my life and be so happy. No. I have a history text or history notes or history booklets or history thoughts or history dreams almost everywhere I go. Kids think summer's short, but for a teacher preparing for their first year of teaching, summer will fly by, and there aren't enough hours in the day to have fun, clean house, drive kids, and study all I need to study before August 10th. It may be the end-of-school wrap up for the kids, but for me . . .

it's just beginning. It's going to be an awesome summer.
