Do you ever feel like this:

. . . no matter how early you get up or how late you stay awake, there is NO WAY you'll get everything done that has to be done in a day?

. . . there is not enough chocolate in the world to get you through your to-do list?

. . . you want to crawl into a corner and cry about how overwhelming your life is right now, but you just don't have the time to afford that luxury?

I'm having one of those weeks.

I'm hoping I can cry it out--on Friday there might be a few spare minutes.

Until then, I'm up before dawn (which, incidentally, in our no-daylight-savings-time state is before FIVE), down after eleven, and my chocolate supply is running low.

And I bid a fond, heartfelt farewell to my friends, Jet and Cord.

I'm so sorry you didn't win the Amazing Race. You were examples of dedication and kindness and grace throughout two full races. I admire you, and if I had $1,000,000 to award, I would award it to you. Adios, Cowboys. We'll miss you.

  1. I don't watch the show, but those two guys look nice as can be. I'm wishing they'd won, too!

As for feeling overwhelmed, I hope things settle down a bit soon. And take a little time for that good cry. It always helps.....one of the best de-stressers!

    =)

  2. Hang in there sweet girl. I am right there with you. There is not enough time in the day to do all the things that need to be done. I'm buried in paper, cleaning, laundry and house projects. As a result, I'm crabby, caffeinated, and less toned than I'd like to be right now!

  3. Oh my gosh Jen...I love the "Cowboys". We are settling on Zev and Justin now.
Girl...I need your address, I'm serious. Email me with your address, I'm stocking you with chocolate and sending big hugs your way.
Sometimes I'm glad I don't finish everything in a day, or I'd have nothing left to do. I'd get bored.
I remember Sister Hinkley (I think it was her) saying, "I can either laugh or I can cry, I prefere to laugh, crying gives me a headache". I hope you have a good laugh, or cry if you need to.
    Hugs

  5. I am so sad about the cowboys leaving. I don't even want to watch the rest of the season. But I guess I will. I'll have to now root for Gary and Mallorie or Zeb and Justin, but I won't root very hard.

  6. I was so bugged when the teams gave everyone the answer except the cowboys-and they still came so close!

I'm sure the next 3 weeks will feel like you never stop-because you won't! Hope everything goes smoothly, fingers crossed and prayers being said.

  8. Hugely busy, but rewarding is how your week will be, right? Do you not check the stores for after Easter sales on chocolate? Hmmm... Maybe I still need to teach you some things.

PS Crying is good. Go for it and feel better. LOVE

  16. Aww man I'm sorry you are having a rough time. Sounds like you just need a little "You time".

I sure wished I lived closer I would definately take on the challenge of your busy house for a couple days so you could get away - maybe even with your hubby!

    Sending {{{Hugs}}} instead!

  17. I feel like that almost every day - you're not alone, sister! It's been a little better since I've been able to saunter down the hall to work. But other things crop up to suck up any extra time. *sigh* More chocolate please...
