Mesa Temple Lights

The Mesa, AZ,  temple has the most spectacular Christmas lights.  Here are a few photos from our visit last night.

There's a new nativity in this pool, and it's beautiful--the kids loved it.
The little boys were posing in mock battle.  Notice Micah's fist in Hyrum's chin.  Lily was all gangsta.

It was so "cold" that Lily brought a blanket to wear with her sandals.  Poor AZ girl.
When Ben started giving Evie a ride on his shoulders, the little boys wanted to join in on the fun.  This worked way better than when Hyrum tried to carry Micah!

Our neighbor gave us these cool glasses.  Each pair halos the light with a different shape--this pair distorted the light rays into the shape of an elf.  I don't know exactly how they work, but they were really fantastic.  Even Ben was impressed.

As we were headed back to the car, Lily offered to piggyback Ben.  She carried him much farther than I thought she could.
If you are in the valley and want to see a spectacular light display, head over to the Mesa LDS temple.  It's free, and there's a concert every night at 7 pm.  Limited seating available.

Seven days, people!  Can you believe it?

  7. I'm impressed, I must say. Very rarely do I come across a blog that's both informative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. Your blog is important; the issue is something that not enough people are talking intelligently about.
